From Conflict to Connection

November 2, 4:30 pm5:45 pm MDT

What happens when we are in our triggers and defensive patterns? Can we tell the difference between what’s happening in the present, and something that has happened long ago that still lives in us? Can these instances be turned into moments of loving intimacy and deeper connection? Although triggers and intimacy seem like extreme opposites, they are actually two sides of the same container. Learn what it takes to make these connections and foster more meaningful and healthier relationships; it’s not impossible, just a decision.
This class is based upon the work of Marshall Rosenberg, PhD, founder of Non Violent Communication (NVC.) The goal of NVC is to create a quality of connection with others in which everyone needs are equally valued and met through natural giving. The class will provide attendees with tools to identify feelings and needs to establish connection, during or post-conflict. We will also discuss the difference between “I’m sorry” and an authentic apology.
